POSTcti
60 day 60 User Trial
To enable organisations to evaluate the features and functionality in
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS2007) POSTcti have
developed a standalone 60 day, 60 user OCS2007 trial solution that
allows users to evaluate OCS2007 with minimal integration/configuration
work.

This solution consists of the following loaned hardware/software:
HP mini-tower server
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007
All the software is time-bombed trial software made available by
Microsoft specifically for evaluation purposes. POSTcti will
install
and configure the server onto the network and make the necessary Active
Directory schema modifications. POSTcti will also assist the
staff with
advice on how to enable the end-user desktops to make use of OCS2007
functionality. Prior to the end of the 60 day trial POSTcti will
arrange to attend site and remove the server hardware and Active
Directory schema updates. If your organisation orders a full
OCS2007
implementation within 60 days of the end of the trial period from
POSTcti, then POSTcti will credit the cost of the 60 day trial against
the cost of the full implementation. A full OCS implementation
consists
of the purchase of server hardware, UC endpoints, professional services
and support contracts taken from POSTcti.
The aim of the POSTcti 60 day, 60
user
OCS2007 trial is to allow an organisation to evaluate OCS2007
functionality with minimal impact on their existing infrastructure, and
without the need for commitment to invest in a full rollout.
The key
OCS2007 features available for user evaluation are:
Presence - check someone’s status, then decide how best to
communicate
with them
Instant messaging - secure and recorded for
compliance/archive
VoIP telephone calls - using your existing PC/laptop
hardware and
internet connections
Video/voice conferencing - from your desk with internal and
external
users
OCS approved communication devices - Bluetooth head-sets
and desktop
devices

As standard, the trial does not include a Gateway or PBX
integration.
However, as of 09/05/2008, POSTcti in partnership with Dialogic are
offering the free 60 day loan of a Dialogic Media Gateway to the next 5
organisations to sign up to the 60/60 trial. This will IP enable
a
legacy PBX telephone system, allowing a more complete evaluation of the
capabilities of Microsoft Unified Communications.

The POStcti 60 day 60 user trial is unique in that it offers
organisations the chance to evaluate the capabilities of Microsoft
Unified Communications in situ at their site, and to do it for a
substantial period of time. This truely allows those in a
descision
making capacity to decide whether OCS 2007 and Microsoft Unified
Communications will provide worthwhile business benefits to their
organisation, and thus allow them to clearly justify the investment in
a full rollout.
The trial can be extended in terms of time, scale and functionality to
meet your specifc requirements.

Live-PA
Live-PA is an easy way for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007,
(OCS 2007), to record calls and archive them in a straightforward
searchable way. It does this by running an automated group of
virtual
assistants that appear as available or busy, and when invited into a
call one will record the conversation and save the compressed file
along with potential identification data for later retrieval.
Recruiting a virtual assistant is done simply by dragging and dropping
icons and the GUI appears very similar to OCS 2007 itself making it
simple to use with minimal training. Immediate access is then
available
via your desktop computer, just like a Microsoft Word document.

Features include:
Easy call-recording with ID tagging for retrieval and voice tagging for
call points of interest
Digitally signed, secure files including call times, participants and
entry / leave times
Conference scheduling via Outlook calendar - participants automatically
invited into calls
Intelligent reminders by the assistant to tag calls correctly to enable
efficient user retrieval
System architecture ensures recordings cannot be lost or accidentally
deleted
IM conversation history can be recorded along with voice
Definable privilege levels mean full control over what call files
individual users can access
These features translate into real life benefits as your organisation
implements changes that enable Gershon efficiencies, the
Transformational Government agenda and the Freedom of Information
Act.
In today’s operating environment organisations are increasingly being
challenged with security and compliance and Live-PA ensures conformity
with regulations from bodies such as FSA, DMA, ICSTIS, PCI and OFCOM.
For increased information management options, Live-PA can be
implemented in two ways. Hosted requires no recording hardware or
software installing at a users site and instead uses our hosted
solution, whilst Enterprise requires servers and software to be
installed at a clients premises.
Recruit a POSTcti Live-PA to manage your information recording.
Create. Retain. Review. Archive. Dispose.

SIPmerge

SIPMerge Server by POSTcti, is a SIP protocol converter designed to
bridge SIP networks and allow full SIP header manipulation.
SIP, as an evolving protocol, often causes interoperability issues
between products from different vendors. Using SIPMerge, these
differences are
overcome by providing a stateful proxy that remains in the call path
ensuring compatibility between servers, gateways and IP-PBXs.
SIPMerge Server is ideally suited for Microsoft Exchange 2007 Unified
Messaging (UM) Server integrations. SIP traffic from the UM
Server is
sent over TCP/IP unlike the majority of IP-PBXs and VoIP gateways which
use UDP.
Anywhere Access for Microsoft Exchange
Server 2007
Listen to your emails whilst on the move, reschedule appointments using
voice commands over the telephone and receive voicemails, emails and
fax in one single
inbox.
To enjoy the benefits of Microsoft's new Unified Messaging features of
Exchange 2007 requires interconnection to the corporate PBX, enabling
collaboration between Exchange and the TDM or IP switch.
In the case of IP switched, the interconnection uses SIP, giving rise
to incompatibilities from start-up registration through to message
transport. SIPMerge Server solves these problems and ensures
reliable,
transparent communication, freeing both the Exchange Server and IP-PBX
to provide the full unified messaging feature set.

via
the SIP protocol to SIPMerge Server. SIPMerge Server will
translated to
SIP/UDP to SIP/TCP and reformatted to suit the Microsoft Exchange SIP
implementation. SIPMerge Server then delivers the caller to
Exchange
Unified Messaging.

One Box One Solution
Why should I choose the POSTcti
Unified Communications Platform (UCP) instead of a standard rack-mount
server system?
As an integrated system, the POSTcti UCP, built on Intel
Multi-Flex Technology, provides capabilities not possible with a common
rack server, including diskless servers, virtual presence, end-to-end
management, redundant Switch and Storage Control Modules, redundant
power supplies, and integrated SAN and Ethernet Switch Modules.
What if I don’t want to be
locked into buying one type of server module?
The POSTcti UCP can support multiple generations co-existing in the
same chassis. If you purchase a new Server Compute Module a year
or so down the road, you can simply plug it into your system with your
current servers and configure it.
What is a SAN and why do I need one?
The Storage Drive Bay, along with the Storage Control Module and the
Chassis Management Module, create a Storage Area Network (SAN) within
the POSTcti UCP. The SAN physically separates the storage from
the servers and manages the Storage Drive Bay, allowing for the
creation of storage pools and virtual drives. This setup gives
you the ability to use only the amount of storage that is needed per
server.
Why use an integrated network switch?
The integrated Ethernet Switch Module provides end-to-end management
and reduces the requirement for multiple boxes and large quantities of
cabling.
How do I expand storage?
The shared storage can be expanded using an external RAID array and the
integrated Storage Control Module.
What is remote concurrent KVM?
Remote KVM (keyboard, video and mouse) allows an administrator to log
in and use the KVM features of the Intel Modular Server as if they were
physically at the server. The concurrent feature allows for two
administrators to be logged into the Management Interface and manage
multiple Server Compute Modules simultaneously.
What is Virtual Presence?
Virtual Presence is the ability to interact with and manage the system
through a web-based GUI. The integrated Management Module
contains a centralised access, Virtual Presence, web-based GUI and
provides remote console control.
Why an integrated Management Module?
The integrated Management Module contains a centralized access, Virtual
Presence, web-based GUI interface and provides remote console
capabilities.
